Financial Director - Rob Hunt

Although from a literary background, Rob has worked in the IT industry since 1994. Having adopted a number of different roles in that time from sales to finance, he now heads up the administration side of the company and deals with all aspects of purchasing, contracts and finance. Rob loves to travel with his family & is a keen morning runner. (Rob has been spotted running dressed as a carrot but says it's nothing to do with him being a vegetarian!).

 

Sales & Marketing Director - Joe Hyde

After graduating in production engineering in the early '90s, Joe chose a career in IT, selling advanced printer and software solutions. He joined the company in 2000 and heads up Sales and Marketing functions within the business. Joe loves his motorbikes (especially his MZ's), squash, walking his dogs and organising music events. (Joe has also been seen dressed as a vegetable, but he was photographed as quite a large pea-in-the-pod doing star jumps!).

 

Technical Director - Phil Castle

Phil has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. During that time he has had many challenging roles ranging from a hardware engineer to a Technical Manager supervising a team of over 25 hardware and software engineers. Phil has extensive knowledge of various hardware and software platforms and has a broad understanding of customer's requirements. Phil runs the technical team and is responsible for all aspects of support, maintenance, implementations and project management. (Never been seen dressed as a vegetable!).

 

Company Secretary - Marion Dominique

Having spent some years working for a large Japanese Corporate, Marion began her career in product marketing. Born and bred in Germany, Marion has now lived in the UK since 1997 and began working for Document Genetics in 2004 as a Credit Controller. Due to the rapid organic growth of the business, Marion’s responsibilities increased and in 2006 she was appointed Company Secretary, responsible for finance and HR within the business. Everybody in the office benefits from Marion's lovely German cakes at Christmas time!

 

Technical Consultant - Chris Welch

Originally a customer of Document Genetics, Chris joined the company in October 2012 as a Technical Consultant and has proved a great asset to the Technical Team. Having been in the IT industry since 2003, Chris has mixed skills ranging from experience in VMWare, networking, database development, .Net programming and scripting, Sage Line 500, 1000 and EDI. Chris also has the honour of taking over the crown for ‘The Largest Appetite’ within Document Genetics……previously held by his colleague Jez Hobbs!

 

Intern - Sam Shepherd

Part of our university sponsor programme, Sam joined Document Genetics part-time in 2021 while doing a degree in Computer Science at Leeds University, and has been handling various technical tasks in the company ever since. In his spare time, Sam enjoys running, programming video games, and sleeping.

 

 

Technical Consultant - Luke Kirby

Luke started working full-time for Document Genetics in April 2013 before deciding to go to Northampton University to study Software Engineering in September 2013. Luke now works for Document Genetics where he is tasked with a variety of projects including designing web-based business forms, bug testing software and working on in-house technical tasks. During his spare time, Luke is most likely to be found rowing on the Nene River. Luke is currently in competition with Chris Welch for the 'Largest Appetite' title!

 

Technical Consultant- Alvin Teye

Alvin is the newest member of the technical team. Having moved to the UK from Belgium in 2015. Alvin studied electrical engineering in Belgium but decided to face a new challenge and completed Northampton University with a degree in Computer Systems in 2019. Alvin is mostly tasked with projects that deal with Formate eVo, InfoRouter and infoForms. Alvin's favourite drink is water and also believes Liverpool is the best club in the world.

 

Technical Consultant - Steve Hough

Steve has over 20 years of experience in IT working primarily as a software developer in a broad range of market sectors and industries. He is experienced in a number of programming languages (Formscape, TokOpen, .NET) developers, database design and integration, and has extensive knowledge of all Windows operating systems. In his spare time he likes to listen to and play music, he is a keen squash player (no vegetable reference) and also loves being out in the country walking his Cockapoo called Berty!

Technical Manager - Antonio Almeida

Originating from Portugal, Antonio moved to the UK in 2004. Initially working for a scanning bureau, Antonio subsequently became Technical Consultant for infoStream Solutions where he focused solely on Cloud Solutions for infoRouter. Antonio now heads up the support for the Hosted Solutions Division of Document Genetics and spends a large proportion of his time developing custom solutions to accommodate clients’ specific requirements. Antonio is a cheap round in the office as he doesn't like hot drinks!

 

Channel & Account Manager - Geoff Chandler

Geoff has had a wealth of experience in the Document Management industry working for several large organisations in the past. Geoff joined Document Genetics in December 2010 and looks after our reseller partners and some end-user customers. Geoff was also an IT Manager for a large Brewery, so understands the IT business from ‘both sides of the fence'. Geoff enjoys playing golf, growing his beard and watching the varied vintage aircraft based near our offices at Sywell Aerodrome.

 

Software Sales Executive - Patrick Ryan

Originally from Ireland, Paddy moved to Northampton in 2017 to join Northampton Saints academy where he spent 3 years playing before moving to Cornish Pirates. A move to Ampthill Rugby in the English Championship has allowed him to combine his rugby with the world of software sales. Paddy recently studied with the Open University towards a degree in business and management with innovation and entrepreneurship and graduated in June 2022. Paddy enjoys playing golf and trying out new, independent coffee shops.

 

Marketing Manager - Steve Stevenson

Working in IT Sales and Business Development since the early '90s within organisations such as Oce Production Printing and the Xerox Production Reseller Program, Steve joined Document Genetics in 2011. He drives all marketing activities and supports the sales team. Steve spends his time encouraging the directors to wear silly vegetable outfits on the basis that it will increase Document Genetics' presence on social media!
