Kodak Alaris' i3000 Series Scanners Named 2013 "Innovative Product of the Year" by Better Buys for Business
Better Buys for Business (BBB) has selected the KODAK i3000 Series Scanner as the winner of its 2013 Innovative Product of the Year Award. The analyst firm, which conducts independent reviews of office equipment, recognized the i3000 Series for superior image quality, speed, durability and a robust set of features that automate document management processes and increase end-user productivity.
"Kodak Alaris consistently provides industry-leading scanners with outstanding features, and the models in the i3000 Series are no exception," said Melissa Pardo-Bunte, Editor of BBB. "With excellent speed, a 250-sheet elevator feeder, bundled software, and Kodak Alaris' Intelligent Document Protection feature, the i3000 Series delivers great value to businesses with a wide range of scanning and document management needs."
Taking up less space than other scanners in its class, the i3000 Series is aimed at busy offices and departments such as legal, finance, accounting and HR, empowering end-users to save time and money for their businesses. For example, the largest provider of compliance services for corporations and law firms in the United States uses i3400 Scanners to capture compliance and litigation forms for upload into an ERP system. The documents are extremely time-sensitive, so speed and reliability are critical to success. Since every file is created with full-text OCR, the high-quality images that the i3000 Series outputs are a requirement.
The KODAK i3200 Scanner scans at 50 ppm simplex (100 ipm duplex), while the i3400 scans at a new faster rate of 90 ppm simplex (180 ipm duplex).
The i3000 Series has a large, 250-sheet document feeder which allows users to rapidly process bigger batches of important transaction documents. Documents that are stapled, folded or delicate are at risk of being damaged when moving through any auto-feed paper transport. With Kodak Alaris' Intelligent Document Protection, the paper transport "listens" for potential paper issues, and automatically stops at the first indication of document damage so users can preserve the document and the information it contains.
Document Genetics works in partnership with Kodak Alaris offering a portfolio of protection plans that help maintain the performance of scanners for content management environments and other business-critical workflows and help businesses protect their investment and generate added value from enhancements in operational efficiencies.
