Following the relaunch of the Kodak brand as Kodak Alaris in September, the company has made a number of new release announcements in recent weeks, starting with the latest version of KODAK Info Activate, v2.0. Kodak Info Activate was the winner of the Editor's Choice Award at the DM Awards in October, and the new input capabilities for smartphones and multi-function peripherals (MFPs).
"With Info Activate Solution v2.0, we focused on ways to increase productivity while maintaining the platform's overall simplicity" said Rod Hughes, General Manager for Software - Solutions, Kodak Alaris' Document Imaging business. "The new release showcases our information capture expertise and its impact on business processes. End users still benefit from the single-click functionality featured in the software's original release with additional options to onboard information into workflows hosted in Microsoft SharePoint environments."
Info Activate Solution v2.0 enables users of Android and iOS smart phones to capture, index and submit documents into SharePoint.
November has also seen the release of KODAK Capture Pro Software v4.5 and KODAK Capture Pro Software Limited Edition. "Businesses and public institutions are under increasing pressure to automate their business processes. They continue to receive large volumes of paper based documents that present a significant bottleneck in their workflows,” said Tony Barbeau, General Manager for Kodak Alaris’ Document Imaging Division. “Capture Pro Software v4.5 helps customers respond to this need by making it simpler, more efficient and productive to provide critical data to business processes.”
With the new release applications involving forms, such as job applications or surveys, feature mark detention, enabling users to detect and capture checkmarks and populate corresponding index fields. Locating and navigating content in PDF files is also simplified by enabling the creation of PDF bookmarks when outputting multiple documents into a single PDF file.
Capture Pro Software Limited Edition comes bundled with all KODAK i2000, i3000 and i4000 Series Scanners and, In addition to single-batch scanning, provides barcode and indexing capabilities that automatically separate, organise and register documents to increase the efficiency of workflows.
These automated capabilities deliver improved productivity in workgroup and departmental scanning environments where forms are crucial, such as banks, insurance companies, health care providers and other distributed scanning operations.
