Paperless

A sensational statement? Well we have heard much talk of the paperless office for years but we never seem to get any closer. Part of the reason for this is that, although we print less (as a percentage of the total documents) we share more information, which in turn leads to greater volume of paper being printed. On the basis that the volume of printed documents is increasing, we need to devise a strategy to curtail this increase.

One way to go paperless is to use document management software such as infoRouter. This will provide a mechanism for storing all the documents in your business processes electronically - For example, rather than printing three copies of every invoice, print one copy for the customer (better still email this copy), and store one copy electronically which accounts and administration can share.
