Kodak Alaris releases next-generation Capture Pro software

July, 2022

Security updates, enhancements and more integrations

Kodak Alaris has released an update to its award-winning Capture Pro document capture software. Engineered to work seamlessly with any document scanner, Kodak Capture Pro makes it easy to turn volumes of scanned data into information that businesses can use. The latest release introduces platform enhancements, security updates and integrations with third-party applications.

Kodak Capture Pro now supports Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, and TLS 1.2. The solution’s OCR and barcode engine libraries have also been updated to the latest version available.

This release also includes SharePoint Online MFA (multi-factor authentication) methods. When enabled, logins by individuals registered as domain users are not required to enter credentials. Non-domain users will still be required to authenticate when processing the first batch after launching Kodak Capture Pro.

Other new features include conformance with PDF/UA, which ensures accessibility for people who use assistive technology to navigate and read electronic content, and an option to mark images for deletion. This allows business process outsourcers (BPOs), service bureaus, and other organisations that are legally required to keep scanned images, to deliver ‘marked for deletion’ status to their customers.

“Kodak Capture Pro Software is designed for speed, accuracy and ease of use,” said James Forger, WW Product Manager, Kodak Alaris. “From desktops to high-volume scanning operations, the software scales according to customers’ document management needs, enabling optimum scanner throughput and maximum productivity. These latest updates will help organisations make data processing faster, more secure and more cost-effective.”

Kodak Capture Pro Software is available from Document Genetics as a subscription-based offering in addition to perpetual licensing options.

Accounts Payable Automation Use Case

August, 2022

AP Automation in the real world!

Working practices have changed throughout the world and it looks like hybrid working is here to stay. However, many business processes were never designed with remote working in mind and are struggling to cope with a distributed workforce. Our business automation software allows us to build hybrid organisations which provide flexible workspaces and processes - Invoice approval is a case in point.

When we consider that 95% of UK organisations still use manual data entry and paper-based processes, it is not surprising that 56% of companies experience cashflow forecasting problems, 54% have had invoices incorrectly sent and 63% have received duplicate invoices!

Many companies still print electronic invoices to register and approve them; however, this doesn't work efficiently when accounts teams and approvers are based in different locations. We've developed infoRegister, a cloud-based service (built around the proven infoRouter DMS) to allow the capture of electronic invoices, their registration, and final approval….. with no need to print.

Customers MAXimise their Digital Transformation with New Scanners from Kodak

June, 2022

Kodak Alaris has expanded its award-winning S3000 Scanner Series with the launch of two new models, the Kodak S3120 Max and Kodak S3140 Max. Both scanners are designed to help organisations make the most of their information - faster.

The S3000 Max Series combine high-volume capacity with the simplicity and compact size of a desktop unit. Both scanners are ideal for document-heavy processes and make it easy to quickly and accurately convert paper-based information into business-critical data. They deliver exceptional image quality, superior paper protection, versatile media handling capabilities, and faster capture speeds, plus three months of onsite, next-day service and support and extended service options to ensure maximum productivity.

These new models build on the award-winning S3000 Series Scanners that have brought so much success to the healthcare, logistics, banking, education, and government markets.  They can capture up to 140 pages per minute (ppm), while on-board image processing enables independent operation and reduces PC resources. RESTful Web API support delivers efficient document capture via the browser, with no software or drivers required. This makes it easy to integrate them into line-of-business applications, web-based scanning applications, and mobile devices.

The new Kodak S3120 Max and Kodak S3140 Max Scanners are easy to set up and use; knowledge workers can configure the scanners themselves, without IT support, and the intuitive interface and 3.5” colour touchscreen deliver simple operation. Operators can personalise workflows with Smart Touch software, capable of configuring up to twenty different scan jobs to suit specific scanning needs – all with one-touch simplicity.

Users can quickly digitise data trapped on paper, get it into enterprise applications such as ERP or CRM systems with a high degree of accuracy, and easily scan documents into on-site or off-site applications and file repositories, including cloud services.
